Momentum Phase

Welcome to the Momentum Phase page, I hope below you can find some useful information and links to support you with learning and wellbeing. During these unprecedented times, I hope that you and your family are keeping safe and positive. It is important that over the coming weeks and months that our pupils stay active with their learning online so that they keep making good academic progress.

Across the school, staff will be setting work for pupils using Microsoft Teams. In order to access this work, pupils can either go online, login to their HWB account, go to office 365 and then ‘Teams’ should appear there. Another option is to download the ‘Microsoft Teams’ app on other devices, including a phone or tablet. Once the app is downloaded, the pupils can login using their HWB login and their teams will appear. Once on teams, pupils can ask as many questions as they need for support with their work and they can talk with their teachers and peers.

In order to support our pupil’s wellbeing, I am holding form meetings on Teams, every Tuesday and Thursday (including the Easter holidays) to say hello to everyone and catch up on everything we are getting up to, so please make every effort to attend these sessions. Also, I would like all pupils to login to their Class Charts app and log their wellbeing twice a day, this is a very quick activity and a big help to us, as we are able to use this important information to support our pupils.

In a time of isolation, it is important to stay active! You can do this with your family or individually, many pupils have been accessing YouTube videos to follow along daily exercise routines. Most importantly, we must talk and be with each other. Talk with your family and friends and not only receive the support you need but provide the support that everybody needs.

Thank you all for your continued support, stay safe and well.

Kind regards,

Mr C Butcher
Head of Momentum Phase
